Just stop your smoking if you want to be dramatic.
First when I read the second panel, I thought it said there’s a gremlin outside my window cleaning your car…First thought was: That’s a very interesting way to clean a car…
yes I know I can’t read
Hooray for Twilight Zone fans! I almost didn’t do this comic because I was unsure of hwo many people would know this is Rod Serling doing a Twilight Zone prologue. I figured if you didn’t know that, this comic would make no blasted sense at all.
Well, not that they usually do, but you know what I mean.
Bah, there’s always going to be at least one joke in a webcomic that people don’t understand. It’s the best way to find out who the awesome fans are. *struts*
True, I thought about that as well. Let’s just assume she’s an angry old lady who doesn’t mind kicking out potential customers based on her personal dislikes.
Ah yes, The kind of place where there might be a monster, or some kind of weird mirror. These are just examples; it could also be something much better.
This was fantastic… you could have stopped at panel 6 and had a great strip but you doubled it and had an outstanding one. I think this is my favorite yet and so far I have liked them all.
Well, seeing as how The Twilight Zone is one of three things that I always have on in the background as I draw, I just thought, “Why haven’t I done this yet?”
I hear it in his voice regardless of whether or not there is a picture. His name doesn’t even have to be there. However, I sometimes also hear Zach Braff’s voice instead of my own voice in my head.
Or like, “D’oh!”
“Hey! How you doin’”
“Here’s lookin at you, kid.”
“I’ll be back.”
The list goes on.
We always knew smoking was bas for your health. This is one of the funniest strips i’ve read and I’m a comic junkie. Always look forward to reading of Edmund’s (mis)adventures. Thank you for sharing your creative albeit mildly disturbing imagination and talent.
Thanks Donna! Good to know I have the approval of a comic junkie. I know there are TONS to read out there and I’m grateful people take the time to read mine.
As much as I love Rod Serling, yeah I gotta say I’ve always hated that furry gremlin. I was basing this more on the slimey John Lithgow version from the movie.
hey, found your comic from a link from sandra and woo, was checking out the archives in order, and this one made me rofl way too hard… my ribs hurt… i’m loving your comic by the way, keep up the good work, Rod Serling FTW!!!!
ROFL, love it… yet its mildly disturbing lololol
Thanks Andy, funny and disturbing is a good combination. I’m glad you feel that I’ve accomplished it here.

Ah hopefully that didn’t pull you out of the comic. Maybe I should try not to “dash” words and just spell them out on the same line.
No the dashing is fine, it’s just I was a bit tired. I’m not even quite sure why I typed that.
Wow. That gremlin really disapproves of smoking.
Ha! I didn’t even think of it that way but, yep, he finally snapped.
Oh my god. HAHAHA!! Poor Rod Serling! I love you so much now.

Wait a minute…did we jump from a 60′s diner to a 90′s diner. What does she mean NO SMOKING>
Damnit Bearman!! You stole my thought! o.O *grin*
True, I thought about that as well. Let’s just assume she’s an angry old lady who doesn’t mind kicking out potential customers based on her personal dislikes.
The Twilight Zone was ok, but I prefer The Scary Door.

That’s great news! I was iffy on this one. I realized I’m a poor judge of what people will and won’t like.
If you are a poor judge of what people will and won’t like you sure must be lucky because you hit it right every time.
Okay, that’s just plain funny. Silent Rod on the other side of the window is brilliant.
I considered having his breath fog up the glass but I thought that would look confusing/weird. Glad you like the effect, it amused me as well
I LOVE the Twilight Zone References!!
LOL
Nicely Done!
Well, seeing as how The Twilight Zone is one of three things that I always have on in the background as I draw, I just thought, “Why haven’t I done this yet?”
Wow, I totally heard the entire monologue in Serling’s voice. Creepy.
Yep, just like when you see a pic of Professor Farnsworth of Futurama saying, “Good news everyone,” you can’t *not* hear it in his voice.
I hear it in his voice regardless of whether or not there is a picture. His name doesn’t even have to be there. However, I sometimes also hear Zach Braff’s voice instead of my own voice in my head.

I so agree with Mike, above. I know I ‘heard” Rod Serling as I was reading!!
And Dan, you’re right about Farnsworth, too!
I’m still reading along every update and just love your strip.

HAHAHA! This is geat. I don’t know how it’s possible for anyone to be so consistently funny and creative.
Awesome compliment, Iris, much appreciated.
Heehee*snort*. Excellent!
Crazy @$$ gremlin. LOL! Your randomness blended with terrific timing is amazing. Funny start to finish!
Woohoo randomness is my brain.
That’s hilarious!
Hey thanks for the comments mike, glad you like this one.
wow, what a sidetrip into the twilight zone.
I love the twilight zone. This was inevitable.
So who’s the cook at this diner, John Lithgow? Wait, that’s not right… It must be William Shatner.
Both great choices. John Lithgow did an awesome job in the movie, I must say.
Awesome strip Dan. Man, now I want a Twilight Zone marathon.
Every night is a twilight zone marathon for me. Every time I draw a comic, it’s on, usually.
Did I get any prize for noticing that the lady lost her feet between the last comic and this one? Is she now a ghost of her former self?
Well, that just adds to the intended weirdness. I like how you find ways to gently pull Edmund from one situation to another.
WOW nice catch! I didn’t notice it myself! But that would solve the perspective problem of her “floating” like she looks right now. Man art is hard.
Hey! That’s not the furry, ‘Miss Piggy’-faced gremlin that was on the plane wing!
As much as I love Rod Serling, yeah I gotta say I’ve always hated that furry gremlin. I was basing this more on the slimey John Lithgow version from the movie.
You, my dear sir, are certainly off your rocker.
And I’m lovin’ it!
I never know where you’re headed, but you always take me somewhere hilarious.
I don’ t know where I’m headed either! I envision the first panel, and the rest just happens. I don’t argue with it.
very nice dialogue for the “prologue”
There’s something on your car…something…on your car…..
I’m beginning to think this whole website is the twilight zone!!!
I love it though.
Yay for the Serling Nerds.
Never seen a better homage to the work of Rod Serling. Great strip!
