Hey there’s a guest strip of mine up at Calamities of Nature, a comic by Tony Piro. Piro’s strip is a thrice-weekly, full-color comic, which is quirky and satirical, many times political and/or philosophical. Go have a looksee by clicking the thumbnail!

If you haven’t checked out the gamer/movie/geek/acting webcomic called JEFbot by Jeff Schuetze, do it! It has great art and can definitely be appreciated by those who indulge in the technological arts. Jeff is out shooting a horror movie called “Grey Skies” (yes, JEFbot is a ‘semi-autobiographical webcomic’ and Jeff does acting gigs in real life), and he asked some fellow webcomickers for guest strips to keep his updates on schedule while he’s out being abducted by aliens in front of a camera. If you’ll kindly click the thumbnail below, you’ll be taken to my contribution! Check out his archive whilst there. I recommend it.
Whew, lots of drawing lately! I’m sure most of you have heard of FMyLife.com, where user-submitted sob stories (usually humorous) are voted on to make it to the front page for all to see. Well, they have an “Illustrated FML” section, where webcomickers pick a submission and put their own twist on it. And I did one, so check it by clicking the image:
I gotta admit, it’s kind of odd being in an illustration section along with the authors of The Book of Biff, Cyanide & Happiness, and Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal among others, but hey, I guess they have to let a beginner in there at some point along with the pros, right? No? Okay, well I’m in there anyway.
Hey, so I did a guest strip for Evan Diaz, of the humorous and well-composed comic strip Pajama Forest! He recently had his honeymoon and needed some art to fill the week out, so go check out my contribution by clicking the image below. He apparently fell ill while on the honeymoon, and did a strip of his own about his loopy reaction to the medication, so I went with that theme:
So, I did a guest strip for fellow “newspaper-style” comic strip artist Dawn Griffin of Zorphbert and Fred! We have very different art styles, so it was fun to draw a full-page strip in my style, using her characters. Zorphbert and Fred are two aliens disguised as dogs, studying human life.
This was a little dealy she had going where people can invent what these aliens look like under the masks! It happens to be my first official guest strip for another webcomic artist. I look forward to doing more for other overworked webcomickers in need of a vacation!
