For the Clown Man comic, I drew the clown outfit separately from the rest of the comic, on different paper and with different pens, to get the more “gritty” effect. I have been considering going all-out with detailed close-ups like they do in Ren and Stimpy, Spongebob, Misadventures of Flapjack, and others, because I really like when that happens and it adds a new dimension to the world, but as of now I don’t have enough time to work on that sort of detail. So, with my limited after-work time, the Clown Man costume is the closest I can get. Here’s hoping for more in the future.

The Kickstarter has resulted in lots of fun new Edmund Finney sketches that I’ll be excited to start posting soon. They will also be posted as examples in the store for things you can order yourself! Here’s an example of one of the 5×7″ drawings in production.

I decided to whip out an old marker set and play around with shading. I’m tempted to draw comics like this, but I also like sketchy line art, so I don’t think this will become a new style, but who knows. Perhaps I’ll just create supplementary art in this style and post when created. Hooray for markers, I say!
