I decided to whip out an old marker set and play around with shading. I’m tempted to draw comics like this, but I also like sketchy line art, so I don’t think this will become a new style, but who knows. Perhaps I’ll just create supplementary art in this style and post when created. Hooray for markers, I say!

I forgot to post these! So here they are, gifts I gave my dad and mom for Christmas (respectively). I’ll try to get some higher-res images soon- these were taken with my phone, before the finishing touches to the drawings (highlights, signature, etc.) and obviously before all the pretty matting and framing and all that jazz. Charcoal is pretty much my favorite drawing medium, other than ink on paper. They’re probably tied.
