I realize I have many readers in other countries who don’t celebrate things like Halloween and Thanksgiving. Hopefully the comics that deal with them are still enjoyable.
I want to thank all of you who have voted for me in the following categories for the WCRC Awards, and a great thanks to my fellow webcomickers who nominated me to begin with. Here are the categories Edmund Finney falls into:
Best New Comic (nominated by Paul of Woody After Hours)
Best Protagonist (nominated by Novil of Sandra and Woo)
Best Writing (nominated by Bearman of Beartoons)
Awesome!
Also, if you’re not a Facebook Fan and you’re on Facebook, why not become one? You can click the magic link over to your left, above the calendar. You get friendly banter and comic previews and probably more stuff when I flesh it out more (it’s pretty new).
Also, I like waffles cold, with butter on them, sometimes.

No one suspects the turkey inquisition!
Nice! Python references always welcome here
You draw some pretty darn wacky turkeys!
Also, cold waffles? Pfft…
They truly are turkeys that only a mother could love. And hungry people.
Cold waffles…ewwww. Butter mmmmmmmmmmm..
You watch some commercials and say to yourself, “I could have done better than those turkeys” And then you realize how close to the truth you were.
I say that to 90% of commercials. I’ve actually contemplated doing a blog about advertising and how dumb most of it is, but I have no time!
They should have a new law – NO putting out holiday displays until December! However, I think they should start Halloween decorations in June
As a person who celebrates Halloween intermittently throughout the year in anticipation, I agree!
Is Halloween not a holiday, Nate?
Wouldn’t you know it…
It seems there’s always some ‘Turkeys’ behind managment decisions!.
: )
Truth, sir, truth.
hah! Dig your writing as always Dan
Danke kind sir!
I just came in from outside after finishing up putting the christmas lights on all the bushes before it gets to cold. Noooo, I don’t light them, but in New England you have to get a head start before the snows come. I had a couple turkeys helping me actually (in -laws)!!
This comic D, is spit milk out yer nose hilarious!!
Ah, in New England that makes sense. Just make sure to bake an extra turkey this Thanksgiving so these conspirators don’t win!
Loved this, the night i found the comic, which was just last week, i had to start from the beginning and read it all. any way just wanted to let you know i just recommended this strip to the folks at consumerist.
Awesome! Glad you like the strip, and thanks for the recommendation. Much appreciated.
There is nothing wrong with reindeer meat!
It makes most food taste better ;P
I have had deer, and yes, it’s delicious. Just don’t tell the kids at Christmas that that’s what they’re eating
Finally, it all makes sense!
(Also: Christmas Dogs… what a great idea!)
An answer to one of life’s great mysteries. Now they just have to find a way to stop people from the tradition of eating turkey at Christmas as well.
hee hee, thanks-what?-ing Day. Oh yeah, TURKEY DAY! GLUTTON DAY! bring it.
Go food!
Ugh. Halloween does run right into Xmas now. I need a holiday from all the holidays.
Yep, I just went to Walgreens, and not only do they have full-on Christmas aisles, but also Christmas music playing over the speakers in the store. It is November 6th.
Aha! I knew there was a conspiracy afoot!
For so long we remained in the dark about it…
Actually when I saw the turkeys in suits and ties I thought it was either bankers or congressmen.
All would have been quite fitting.
I went to Norway and ate reindeer, it was delicious
I remember at the 7/11′s you could get hot dogs wrapped in bacon, but I don’t think that either component was reindeer…
Hot dogs wrapped in bacon. Sounds like a good meal. I might have to try that.
Everything suddey makes sense…. Crazy turkeys.
They may be crazy, but they’re succeeding…
From the top of the thread: “Python references are always welcome here.”
They shouldn’t be.

Ha, I’ve never seen that one.
it’s from the amazing webcomic xkcd. I recommend it to everyone here.
