So, talk about being floored by flattery! Laura, a fan of Edmund Finney’s Quest to Find the Meaning of Life, took the time to take a shot at completing the lyrics to Captain TwoBeard’s unfinished song, seen in this strip. It was a very kind gesture and a nice “hello.” I love how the lyrics capture the tone of the pirates, and are written in meter and everything! Take a look!
I especially love the last line of the Chorus, and the bonus Muppets reference at the end. Thanks for being awesome, Laura!
Hey! Welcome to anybody who came over from my guest comic for Dawn Griffin at ZFComics.com! For anybody who doesn’t know, I did a guest strip for her, so go check it out! Also, I learned that a comic of mine will be in MAD Magazine in the edition coming out on August 18! I’ll post more details as it draws closer. Thanks for stopping by!
If you think pirates can’t be dainty, then you’re making a generalization, and that’s wrong. Happy Friday, thanks for dropping on in for a bit!
Hello! I think if I were ever in a rock band, I’d play the conch. Because then I’d have the rock cred from being part of the band, but I wouldn’t have the pressure that comes along with playing, say, the electric guitar. Think about it. Have you ever left a concert and turned to your buddy to say, “Man they rocked the house! But that conch player totally blew his solo, though.”
No, you haven’t. For two reasons: One, the odds of a spontaneous pun like that are very slim in real life, and two, everyone cheers for the conch player no matter what. Well, except for maybe the snooty conch instructor in the lawn seats who just sat there and judged the whole time.
