I’ve noticed an increase in cats walking around my apartment building lately. It leads me to believe there may be a cat tree nearby; however, there are two problems with this theory: 1.) If there were a cat tree nearby, I surely would have heard the meowing getting increasingly louder as the tree grew and sprouted cats, and there aren’t many trees so I also should have come across it since I walk around a lot. 2.) If somebody harvested the cats from the branches, why would they then let the cats go? What’s the point of picking a cat tree if you’re just going to go home empty-handed?  I suppose the cats could have escaped from whatever container was being used to transport them to the cat market to be sold to new cat owners. Wait, no, this whole thing is stupid, they don’t even have cat markets. Also it is the first comic of the new year above this here paragraph. Right up there.
