To be honest, I had no idea how to draw a ray gun. So I drew that up. I think it was what my subconscious remembered from Duck Dodgers, starring Daffy Duck. It might not be what Daffy’s ray guns looked like. I’m too lazy to google it and find out. Yes, that’s how lazy I am right now. You know when you’re so lazy that you don’t like the show that’s on TV but the remote is too far away and you don’t feel like getting up, so you watch the show? That’s what I feel like now, where google is just a “new tab” away, but I’m too lazy to open it, so I’ll spend the effort typing in this text box instead since I’m already here. I wish there were some sort of freak accident where I could have all the McDonald’s Big Macs I wanted.

I think that’s always a good rule of thumb, visible ray gun or not. You never know what crazy gadgets they have in their space suits.

I think I like the aliens approach- he’s got style.
ALSO- I’ve been that lazy before too. so lazy that breathing seems like a chore.

I once sat through an entire episode of Maury Povich because of this type of situation. It turns out that one guy wasn’t the baby daddy, but another guy was, and i was all “Oh snap!”
Except I didn’t actually snap, because, too much effort.

For a guy who was feeling lazy, that’s one nifty-looking ray gun you drew. The claw-like thing coming out of the bottom is especially scary.

Eventually the ray gun was going to have other functions but I decided to keep the name simple. The claw will remain a mystery.

I just noticed you little extra “journal entry” pop-up thingy… neat idea!
P.S. ray guns can be anything you want, they are fictional anyway (aren’t they?). I’d rather see your interpretation than another generic ray gun based on everything we’ve already seen. So, nice job!

Hey you can chalk the journal pop-up up to Frumph (like most nifty site modifications). I really like it, too, good way to re-enforce Edmund’s continuous documentation of his travels.
And, yep, I’m not too good at drawing machinery, but I took a shot at a gun and I like how it turned out. I didn’t intend that pun.

Thanks sir! Definite poor sportsmanship. I’d hate to see what would happen if they had money on the game.

Wow, I was thinking “Zap,” But “ZAPPPPPPHGORUMA” is much scarier.
