Brainstorming Sketches
on September 10, 2009 at 03:00Honestly, most of the characters in my strip were drawn before they were created. That is, I started with a circle for the head, worked around it and in it, and ended up with a random drawing of a random character- for example, a guy with red goggles and a top hat. “Hm, who is this strange character,” I ask myself. The answer ended up being Lord Werriam, who travels the world in a hot-air balloon. That’s how my stories are created. Then, sometimes I draw things and don’t know what to do with them. This guy still doesn’t have a name or a story:

Perhaps I’ll think of something soon.

He’s adorable! He had better appear soon. Unamed robot looks like something from an older Diseny movie.

Ha, there is something Disney about a cute, silent robot. I don’t know how good I’d be at silent strips, though. I’ve never ventured in that area…

He was left by the martians to discover the meaning of life on earth.

Would a robot care about the meaning of life, being a manufactured item?

I have no idea why, but i feel that he should live underwater…

Yeah he kind of has that old-fashioned scuba suit look to him. Perhaps I shall take that into consideration.

I’m interested by the guy in your avatar (who was also in your ads and I’ve forgotten his name
)

That’s Lachrymose! Ah, he should be coming soon. I don’t really plan storylines ahead of time so I have no idea when. I travel randomly along with Edmund, strip by strip.
